Hi @Michele Proverbio! Guess you're having issues with your DB used for Hive Metastore, could you check if the service it's up? And check if you can connect and access hive metastore tables. To confirm this, let's first check if you're able to connect through beeline without ZK. beeline -u 'jdbc:hive2://sandbox-hdp.hortonworks.com:10000/default' Otherwise, I'd say to check your DB setup. Hi @Krishnaraj V! I'm not sure if I get it, but are you trying to kill the consumer that you're creating right? If so, then I'd try to grep the kafka.tools.ConsoleConsumer + the topic name.
