Hi @William Prendergast, Yes, that feature is removed from the 2.x line, at least not in the UI. I will create a feature request to implement it again. As a workaround you can use the CLI to deploy in multiple subnets. You have to configure your infrastructure as before, subnets in different availability zones. On the UI before the last step of cluster creation there's a button "SHOW CLI COMMAND", you have to follow the instructions here. Copy the json, save it in a template file and modify the field "subnetId", extend the list with comma separated subnet ids ("subnetId": "subnet-xxxxxxxx,subnet-yyyyyyyy") and run the command.

@Benjamin Leroux, which version of Cloudbreak you are using? Before version 2.4.0 we had a certificate generation issue, so newer browsers won't handle them.

Hi @Benjamin Leroux, Cloudbreak is using self-signed certificates, so this error message is not about some real threat.

@Sudakshina Sarkar You can't manage an existing cluster with Cloudbreak. You can create new clusters based on blueprints and don't have to provide ambari url for cluster creation. Cloudbreak installs Ambari and provides the link to Ambari to you.

Hi @prarthana basgod, There's no way to synchronize the change back to Cloudbreak. You have to create a new credential with the new settings.

Hi @Sudakshina Sarkar, If you have created the cluster with Cloudbreak you can enable the Cloudbreak auto scaling feature for the cluster, which is based on Ambari. If the cluster is not created with Cloudbreak you can't configure Cloudbreak to be able to manage it.

@Mathieu Perochon, no, project name is in Keystone v3, tenant is in Keystone v2, I don't think you can mix these two concept.

Hi @fnu rasool, In HDCloud you can't modify the blueprints to add Solr. Instead of using HDCloud you may try Cloudbreak and create your own blueprints with Solr. (HDCloud is using Cloudbreak behind the scenes)

Hi @dbalasundaran, The cli json contains only the name of the RDS. "HiveMetastore": {
"Name": "nameOfTheRDS"
}
With the hdc cli you can create new RDS with the register-metastore command. You can get more information with hdc register-metastore --help

Hi @mliem, From Cloudbreak version 1.4 we don't use cbgateway node. It's function was running Ambari, in newer versions of Cloudbreak one designated hostgroup - with one node - will be the Ambari server node. You can configure it when you start a cluster (under 'Choose Blueprint' tab).

Hi @mliem, 1. The short answer is that we can't change the os. Longer one: you could create a custom Cloudbreak image based on ubuntu, but it's not advised and not supported. 2. From Cloudbreak version 1.4 you can choose 'Throughput Optimized HDD ( st1 )' under 'manage templates' 3. Changing the blueprint is recommended, but it won't change already running instances

Hi @William Prendergast, From Cloudbreak 1.4 you can create a network resource that is connected to multiple subnets and subnets could be in different availability zones. Under 'manage networks' choose 'Use an existing subnet in an existing VPC' and in the 'Subnet Identifier' field you can put a comma separated list of subnets (e.g. 'subnet-qwer1234,subnet-qwer4321')

Hi @Yaron Idan, Currently Cloudbreak doesn't support reusing EBS volumes. You could use s3 as a storage. In this case you have to configure it in the blueprint and Cloudbreak UI has an advanced option "Seamless S3 Access".
