i followed the above steps and it throws the following error but my cluster is kerberos disabled and Apache Ranger Authorization is enabled . java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused (Connection refused)

Hi, I recently installed apace Ranger and Enabled the hive plugins.when try to restart the Effected components at hive got the following error Configuration parameter 'REPOSITORY_CONFIG_USERNAME' was not found in configurations dictionary!

by following the Apache link by changing the ownership of the database to role, we can grant the privileges. I followed these steps create role a; ALTER DATABASE x SET OWNER ROLE a; can any help to proceed further steps towards the granting privileges to database x; Thanks a lot.

My requirement is database x has only access to user1 and database y only have the access to user2 using hive2 sql based Authorization model.
As per SQL standards authorization in hive documentation select,delete,update,insert privileges unable to grant database then how to grant the privileges at database level ?
