Hi,   Thanks everyone for your valuable inputs.   I finally was able to troubleshoot the problem with my cluster. As it turns out the remote machine needed to add the ip-address of the nodes in the cluster in their /etc/hosts/ file.   After doing that I was able to get the desired results.   Thanks everyone!!!   Vaibhav ... Hi NSU,   Is this the same issue that you were asking about in your other posts? http://community.cloudera.com/t5/Cloudera-Manager-Installation/Accumulo-LogIn-Issues/m-p/17048 http://community.cloudera.com/t5/Storage-Random-Access-HDFS/Accumulo-unable-to-Login-in-Shell/m-p/16976   The default password is "secret" so if you did not change anything, then it should still be set to that.   Were you following our installation instructions, available at http://www.cloudera.com/content/cloudera-content/cloudera-docs/Accumulo/latest/PDF/Apache-Accumulo-Installation-Guide.pdf ?   If you did change the password, then you can potentially recover it by poking around in zookeeper storage.
