The solution was to deploy CSD of new service. Then, it's possible to select new service type and add new service of this type.

I'm following official docs to add service to a cluster in Cloudera Manager. However it's custom service developed in-house and there's no service type shown. How to add new service type in Cloudera Manager?

Below error can be seen in host monitor log. Is there a way resolve it?

Cloudera manager service starts to enter bad health state because of its roles bad state. For example, Activity Monitor started to have bad health because of below error and then the health state became good. Is there a way to investigate what could cause such issues? Mostly Cloudera manager and its roles` state is healthy, but bad health happens from time to time. I went over metrics and don't see anything suspicious except garbage collection from time to time. The health test result for ACTIVITY_MONITOR_SCM_DESCRIPTOR_FETCH has become bad: The Cloudera Manager descriptor was refreshed 2 minute(s), 40 second(s) ago. Critical threshold: 2 minute(s).

There are several hundreds of hosts in Cloudera cluster. One infra service is located on all the hosts. Deploying its client configuration freezes the Cloudera UI for several minutes and sometimes fails. How to debug this issue, any log to look on?

Currently, the way i'm going to take is mimic deploy client configuration operation on single host: Auto recreating links using script: /etc/stack/service-env/conf -> /etc/alternatives/service-env-conf -> /etc/stack/service-env/conf.cloudera.service-env and updating or creating client config file /etc/stack/service-env/conf/conf.properties.

Is there a way to deploy service client configuration for single host or at least validate that the client configuration was deployed on some host which was decomissioned and now is a candidate for recomissionning? In the docs i see: Client configuration files are deployed on any host that is a client for a service—that is, that has a role for the service on that host. My goal is to deploy client config and then validate that client configuration was deployed on specific host using REST_API.

Is the a configuration file for Cloudera Management Service? I'd like to have the service roles' configuration stored in repository. This way, service configuration can be shared between environments without the need to change the configuration via CM ui or rest API on each environment.
