helo, Check the /var/log/cloudera-scm-server/ logs to see what is going on. You can also run the command mentioned in the error you posted for more info.

I did the test described here http://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/5-4-x/topics/cm_sg_tls_troubleshoot.html and I'm getting a 1 returned and at the bottom a 18.

Helo, I configured CM with TLS and used the keystore and truststore like the intructions in http://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/5-4-x/topics/cm_sg_tls_browser.html#xd_583c10bfdbd326ba-7dae4aa6-147c30d0933--7a61 I'm using my companies CA files and CM comes up fine with HTTPS but, some of the cloudera management services are not starting and they give me this error: "no trusted certificate found" some of them start and some do not. I configured the truststore in each one that required it.

awesome thank you! that is helpful. I wanted to know because management wanted a bunch of employees to get certified right away in version 4 since they said in january version 4 is out for testing and cant get certified in it. I found that to be a little fishy and wanted to verify.

Are you using cloudera cm? you have to remove the old ip from the hadoop config and add the new ones.
