Adding to this response, my issue was I missed to insert the CM's hostname+ip in the /etc/hosts config file of the client nodes. While the installation was still stuck I added the missing line to the /etc/hosts file on the client machine and the installation moved on fine.       ... View more

We don't have any indexes or collection in this cluster. Just trying to use it for Solr Search functions now. Can you more elaborate on "Hostname tied to the actual IP address?" and "Use "ifconfig -a" to see a listing of your network interfaces and choose one that has an actual IP address."   How do I know which hostname and ip address to use.
