Hive LLAP in Hive View Ambari

Hi All,

I have installed LLAP in my HDP 2.5 cluster. I believe the Hive View in Ambari by default uses hive on tez, how can I make it use HIVE LLAP ?

I see there is an issue opened that is targeted to be addressed in Ambari 2.5

You can modify the Hive View 2.0 Settings and set "use.hive.interactive.mode" to true and restart the Hive View to run in llap mode.

@Muji, is this single setting "use.hive.interactive.mode=true" a new feature of the Hive View 2.0 as of HDP-2.6? Do you know when this became available? Your answer worked immediately for me on 2.6.1. I think the Hive View 2.0 version is "2.0.0".

This setting (use.hive.interactive.mode=true) is available in Hive View 2.0 since it's inception in HDP 2.5
