Whilst the chennuri gouri shankar answer with a link to the Hadoop Connector allows an existing Kognitio instance to connect to a Hadoop cluster, you can also run Kognitio as a YARN application on your Hadoop cluster, which has a number of benefits:

• you don't need separate hardware for running Kognitio
• you will get better performance if the Kognitio software is running locally, on the same platform as the data
• you can use Kognitio on Hadoop free for any scale, no functionality restrictions, and no time limit.

Note that if you have problems getting permission to evaluate new software on your in-house Hadoop cluster(s), you can try on Amazon EMR (for free, except for the costs of the Amazon resource).
