Upgrade to CDH 6.0.x from 5.15

The documentation states it is not possible to upgrade to CDH 6.0.0 from 5.15.

1. CDH 6.0.1 is released is it possible to upgrade to 6.0.1 from 5.15? 
2. If not then what is the upgrade path for moving to CDH 6.0.1 from 5.15 ? CDH 5.15 to CDH 5.16.1 and then CDH 6.0.1?
3. Will the future CDH 6 version support upgrading directly from 5.15 ?

How to upgrade an unmanaged cluster to 6.1 from 5.16 ?

I am not able to locate any docs to upgrade unmanaged cluster (running 5.16) via command line like the one below for 5.15
