What are the "From link" and "To Link" in Sqoop New Job connection

In Hue 4.0, I see in Sqoop Jobs / New Job:

Step 1: Information Step 2: From Step 3: To:

Connection

   Name:

   From link:

   To link:

What are these "From link" and "To link". I can Add a new link using the option. Again in Step 3 it has the HDFS details. I added an Oracle jdbc connection details in the From link. What should I add for the "To link"?

I just confirmed that this is for Sqoop2, not Sqoop1, those From and To Links are connector links for Sqoop2 to communicate with data sources, see Sqoop2 doc below:

http://sqoop.apache.org/docs/1.99.7/user/Sqoop5MinutesDemo.html

However, Sqoop2 has been deprecated since CDH5.9 and will be removed in CDH6. Please see below link for details:

https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/release-notes/topics/rg_deprecated.html

If you are not using Sqoop2, I suggest you remove it from your cluster to avoid the confusion.

Hi,

Not exactly sure which interface you refer to. I can find them. Can you provide details on which button you click to get to that page?

Thanks

I have mentioned its Hue 4.0 GUI. Go to the left menu drop down(3 bars near HUE icon). Click on Sqoop->New job you will see Name, From Link and To Link.

Sorry, but I don't see such menu in CDH5.12 version of Hue 4. I only see below links:

Apps
>> Editor
>> Scheduler

Browsers
>> Documents
>> Files
>> Tables
>> Jobs
>> Security

Do I miss anything?

Yes maybe it depends on if Sqoop is added in Hue permissions or in Cloudera Manager as service I see below in my HUE menu:

Apps
 >Editor
 >Scheduler
Browsers
>Documents
>Files
>Tables
>Jobs
>Sqoop
