@emaxwell Your explanation, specially last paragraph, is the most closest explanation I have come across, of what we are trying to resolve. Indeed (using SAS client on a desktop) that connects to a SAS server (as in a session) and the need is to pass the user's kerberos ticket to HDP from that server. We have turned the registry setting in WIN server so the ticket cache is shareable, but no go. I was wondering if there is any doc or step by step that is available? Also, the steps you showed in code section above, needs to be done for ea. end user on the client (to HDP) server? There is NO direct end-user login to the server (only via clients). Is there anything that could have WIN OS perform kinit on behalf of the end user and pass that ticket to HDP. Any insight is appreciated as we are going in circle. *(Still discovering kerberos not expert level)

@Rahul Pathak I got the solution, When debugging pig view issue, found that in WebHCat log that “/usr/hdp/2.3.2.0-2950/hive/lib/hive-common.jar/zookeeper.jar: cannot open
`/usr/hdp/2.3.2.0-2950/hive/lib/hive-common.jar/zookeeper.jar' (No such file or
directory) “. I was getting this from property templeton.libjars where I don’t have /hive/lib/hive-common.jar/zookeeper.jar path. So I have changed path to point appropriate jar file in "/usr/hdp/${hdp.version}/zookeeper/zookeeper.jar,/usr/hdp/${hdp.version}/hive/lib/hive-common.jar" location.

Hello, Restarting the Standby NameNode did not resolve the issue. Then when trying to restart the Active NameNode Ambari told me to SSH into my Active NameNode server and: Enter Safe Mode sudo su hdfs -l -c 'hdfs dfsadmin -safemode enter' Safe mode is ON in xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8020 Safe mode is ON in xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8020 The save Namespace root@xxxxx:~# sudo su hdfs -l -c 'hdfs dfsadmin -saveNamespace' Save namespace successful for xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8020 Save namespace successful for xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8020 After that restarting both NameNodes cleared the Alerts. @Bharath Kumar: Yes, you can create no-login them in AD. Technically, they should be login accounts if you are planning to run some service. That may vary based on the senario

You are true, 1) Noticed that Download option is not working after upgrading Ambari from 2.1 to 2.2 and Smartsense from 1.1 to 1.2 2) Verified the Ambari and Smartsense rpm's 3) Noticed that in Smartsense View configuration, the version was still being reported as 1.1 4) The Smartsense view jar under /var/lib/ambari-server/resources/views also had the 1.1 jar. 5) Copied the new 1.2 Smartsense jar from /usr/hdp/share/hst/ambari-service/SMARTSENSE/package/files/view/smartsense-ambari-view-1.2.1.0-161.jar to /var/lib/ambari-server/resources/views and restarted Ambari server. This fixed the issue and the 'Download' option is available for all bundles.
I'm not sure that if the jar's need to be manually copied for Smartsense View upgrade from 1.1 to 1.2 after the upgrade. I always thought that SmartSense View will be updated as part of Ambari upgrade.

download. The MD5 matches but when I import the image in virtual box I
