Hi, regarding the disks of an HDFS datanode with for example 10 disks, what are good values for the read/write throughput for each JBOD disk? Are there any benchmarks for a production environment? (e.g. 200 MB/sec). Thank you.

Hi all, I would like to know if it is possible to specify a location other than HDFS (eg. remote NFS Storage) for the parameter yarn_nodemanager_remote_app_log_dir because we don't have enough space on HDFS and we need to maintain the current policy retention (7 days). Thanks in advance.

Hi, we would like to activate HA for Cloudera CDP MySQL databases (hive, ranger, etc..). We have seen that there are several ways to achieve all this, mysql replication active-slave or active-active, mysql + DRDB, mysql Innodb Cluster, etc.. Our goal is to achieve automatic failover of mysql, with functionality similar to those of a cluster with an active node and a standy node. From your experience, is there a recommended architecture for creating HA for a Mysql server compatible with Cloudera services? I read that some solutions could not be compatibile with Hive metastore for example. Thanks in advance. Ivo

Hi @DianaTorres, sorry but i did not receive any feedback from the account. We want simply to know if during the period needed for the CFM renewal, we can use all nifi features also if the license will expire. Thanks.

Hello, i'm installing a CDP Private Cloud Base 7.1.7 cluster and i have to enable Auto-TLS feature (Use case 2) as described in the cloudera documentation: https://docs.cloudera.com/cdp-private-cloud-base/7.1.7/security-encrypting-data-in-transit/topics/cm-security-use-case-2.html At the step 5 of the procedure is possibile to use the optional argument --trusted-ca-certs that as described is an optional argument, and if it is given, then ca-certs.pem should point to a PEM-formatted file containing one or more root CA certificates. About this i have two questions: 1. Do have i to add also the RootCA used to sign the Intermediate CA certificate? 2. In general why should I add more trusted root CAs? Is it necessary for external client connections that use a specific RootCA? Thanks.

Hi, we would like to install Cloudera CDP 7.1.7 SP1 using a Powerscale Storage with OneFS 8.2 or 9.2. Is there any limitations about the Cloudera CDP Runtime features? (Es. Kudu, HDFS ACL, etc.) I can't find any compatibility matrix for this purpose. Thanks in advance.

Hi, we would like install Cloudera CDP 7.1.7 SP1 on linux host with Linux Centos Stream 8.x. The information in Cloudera's support matrix is generically "Centos". Can we consider them valid for Linux Centos Stream 8.x? Thank you.
