The move to docker, meant we had to upgrade the operating system to Centos 7 which is a requirement for Docker. Doing so added this change of not being able to see the step by step progress of the bootup. On virtualbox, if you click inside the console of the VM and type an arrow key, you should see the progress. Typically the initial boot up sequence takes about 3.5 minutes if you have a Core I7 2.3GHZ with 16 GB of physical memory. We are continuing to look into improving the experience.

Hi @Donna Suddeth, for azure, the ssh password is set by you when configuring the offering in the azure market place. In addition, port 4200 is actually for the web browser based ssh. To use your own ssh client and connect to your azure offering, it should be the default port 22.

@Timothy Spann the above instructions by @Felix Albani should work. In Ambari it looks like so within the Hive configuration.

This is as designed. Typically for GA'd releases we do release notes that mention this behavior, since this is a tech preview we didn't provide it. The services that are turned off on start are hbase, atlas, storm, kafka, logsearch, falcon. They should have maintenance mode enabled. HDFS does not have secondary namenode on..since not needed.

PROBLEM: When opening Zeppelin Ambari View on Sandbox (Virtualbox version), the page is blank. ROOT CAUSE: sandbox.hortonworks.com is what the view tries to redirect the browser to, which is not found if not explicitly set. SOLUTION: On your machine, modify the host file so that 127.0.0.1 sandbox.hortonworks.com is an entry. An alternative is to simply go directly to the web page 127.0.0.1:9995. Operating Systems have different location for hosts file and hence suggest reviewing your operating system's documentation of how to modify the hosts file.

Hi @Colton Rodgers I assume webhcat/templeton not responding fast enough to the call hence the read timeout error. The grunt shell call does not go through webhcat I believe. Any suggestions from your perspective that we can do better to improving of isolating the issue?

Hi @Tea Hill the release notes provide md5 checksums http://hortonworks.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/ReleaseNotes_3_23_2016.pdf on the title page. You should be able to confirm the file you downloaded matches with the md5 checksum we have on the pdf. If it doesn't, most likely the file was not fully downloaded or somehow corrupted. Regards, Robert

The current HDP 2.3.2 Sandbox offering on Azure Marketplace has the user and password:
user: azure
password: azure
The current splash page states: user: admin pass: admin which is incorrect. This will be fixed in a future update of the Sandbox.
