Hi @paras thanks for replying. if my understanding is correct, you mean that my KMS or KTS server must be in a different cluster? the server must no be registered on the same cluster? Also do we need SSL for the KMS? we are planning to install the default Hadoop KMS Java Keystore KMS.

Hi @akriti based on the link you gave, it is safe to say that once I've upgraded my cluster to 6.3, its okay to have an OS upgrade from 7.2 to 7.4? I just need to decom the servers needed for OS upgrade. Also need to reinstall the CM in the server that I'm having the oS upgrade?

Hi @akriti thanks for confirming, also we are planning to upgrade our cluster to 6.3 cdh version, then after that we will upgrade the OS from 7.2 to 7.4. Will there be any effect on the cloudera installed on the servers that we want to have an OS upgrade? May we know what is the best practice for this? Thanks!

Hi, do you know how can I have a replication between two clusters? for example, I want my cdh cluster 1 to be replicated with cdh cluster 2 in real time, so once this cluster is down, we still have the other cluster to work on with

My datanode is currently giving me this warning below: /dfs/dn is in a filesystem that reaches the threshold for free space. I have a 2nd disk mounted on /data and I'm thinking of moving the datanode filesystem under /data to have free space, is it possible to do that with no significant effect in the cluster? because i have this same issue also with Namenode and I think if I changed the path there also, fsimage is still retail on the original path..
